These workshops have been made possible through the generosity of ACMP - The Chamber Music Network, and the Clinton B. Ford Fund of its ACMP Foundation, an organization that promotes chamber music activities for amateur musicians.

The Program

The program is open to only 9 pianists and will focus on the great two pianos and piano four-hand repertoire.
Some rarely played gems, like Rachmaninov "Romance for Piano 6 hands" , Bizet "Scherzo aus Roma" (arr. Emil Kronke) for two pianos 8 hands, will be part of our program.
Pianists also taking the Chamber Music Workshop (5-11 May, 2012) will work on a wider range of two pianos and four-hand piano chamber music and Orchestral repertoire.
The most adventurous and advanced pianists, along with other players, can also choose to be part of our "Contemporary Music Corner" (CMC), featuring pieces like Schnittke "Hommage à Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich" for piano 6 hands.
